Everyone is going green, with the Climate change as the one of the main concerned right now, every electronics company boast their own Eco friendly gadgets and electronics.

With this idea in mind, Sony releases its energy efficient television. The new Bravia Eco Television. The 52-inch KDL-52VE5, 46-inch KDL-46VE5 and the 40-inch KDL-40VE5 models includes micro-tubular Hot Cathode Fluorescent Lamp (HCFL).

This technology helps reduce power consumption by almost 40 percent according to Sony. Just like in a computer monitor the tv turns off its picture after a given timeframe, which can be set by the user. And with a built in sensor that turns the picture on when it detected a motion.
